A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Laura.

A poet, photographer, artist, mother, and lifelong collector of beautiful moments + cabinets of curiosities.

I live among the hills and winding rivers of the Texas Hill Country, where much of my inspiration come from the natural world and its endless lessons in living, dying, growing, and beginning again.

I’ve always been drawn to the spaces where art and emotion meet. The way a photograph can preserve a fleeting feeling. The way a few words carefully chosen words can give shape to something we’ve carried quietly inside ourselves. The way nature reminds us that we are not separate from its rhythms, but deeply woven into them.

My creative life has taken many forms over the years, from photography and visual storytelling to jewelry making, upcycled clothing, handmade home decor and many other curious little pursuits. But beneath it all has always been the same desire: to create things that make people feel something.

I believe there is beauty in the ordinary, wisdom in the wilderness, and something profoundly sacred about the messy, magnificent experience of being human.

How Ritual + Revery came to be…

For years, I’ve collected photographs of life around me, written poems, gathered stories, and experienced the beautiful contradictions of being alive. The light and the shadow. The tenderness and the wildness. The things we lose and the things we become.

I wanted to create a home for those pieces. Somewhere they could exist together, not as separate expressions, but as part of a larger story.

Through independent collections of poetry, photography, art, and personal musings, Ritual + Revery explores the seasons of the human experience, both the ones unfolding around us and those taking shape within.

It is an ongoing exploration of transformation, mythology, memory, nature, and the sacred art of becoming.

Not a destination, but a continual unfurling.
